Introduction and a start of a dream build!

Many thanks Alex! I have tried but still no luck!

Progress - The frame has been painted in 2 coats of red oxide followed by two coats of filler primer, a couple of small bits I need to address ( need filling and smoothing) but I am overall very happy 

I have also had my brake shoes back from Villiers Spares, I had them relined with Fast Road material, a few week turnaround and a brilliant job!

I have also started polishing all the aluminum parts that will be going onto the bike, first up was the Taylor Dow top yoke!

Looking good. It’s nice getting the bits together for a build. Regarding photos, I solely browse the forum posting and uploading photos off my I phone ( after resizing) with no problems. Which phone are you using ?

Hi all, Me again! Still plodding on with the Cafe Racer!

The build went on the back burner waiting for parts and work to be finished!

Had my GT750 front hub in an engineer's shop to be milled down and a new spindle made but 5 months later it still wasn't done, not even looked at so I had to find elsewhere for it to be sorted but thankfully its all in motion and will be done shortly!

I was originally moving towards a conical rear Hub and has started collecting all the bits to fit however I have since moved away from this idea and will be keeping the original QD Bub as it was proving more and more work for not a lot of gain ( other than looks!)

I began to start test fitting dads spare engine and box into the bike pre paint and have trimmed up my rear mudgaurd! So far I am happy!

Most of the metal work has been painted in 2k gloss black so when the wheels are back we can get building!

I have one issue which I need to resolve - The fork legs! I got mine back from shot blasting and found the below horrors! I need the forks to be the best they can especially as the bikes going to the ridden properly! So I am know on the hunt for a new set
