Hi,
That's an excellent project that you have there.  I'm sure it is going to be great fun getting it going and then restoring it.  I've tried to summarize what ever I learned about my bike on this site and elsewhere while restoring my Golden Flash a few years back on my blog https://oldthumpers.wordpress.com/2010/12/19/twins/.
