Yes, I rode Venom for a couple of years, I can't remember the front brake so I'm assuming it was OK, I'd certainly remember it if it wasn't. like the 7" on the B31
. I don't recall it being especially fast but it could cruise for hours at near full throttle.

Fast is relative. My Venom would wee all over my Star Twin, but many/most japanese 500s would easily beat either of them.

The Velocette SLS front brake is superb. Nothing special... It just really works!

I'd still have that thing if I'd ever mastered how to kick start it.
cheers
I'm not suprised you could not start the bike; your legs don't reach the lever 🙄

In my brief experience of a Velocette Venom, I followed the simple instructions and it started easily.

Mine too, just the usual big single technique. Unlike my DBD34 which was always a pig and best to park a the top of a hill just in case.

Mine too, but it has it's own Velo-derived procedure and
not
like any other big single.
I wouldn't call the front brake superb either, but merely passable. Maybe that's why the after-market TLS brakes are so popular?

You're right GB.
Could it be the cut price backyard hip replacement?
Wonder if Musky is having that problem too.
cheers

You saying those don't work? I've just got a great deal on hip replacement on Alibaba. Apparently the price drops 50% if I buy 3.
