A10 Primary Chain Case Outer
« on: 10.08. 2009 18:48 »
Does anyone have one of these to spare? An A10 primary chain case outer, the one with the tapped hole for clutch spring adjustment.
Alternatively does anyone know if the standard case can be drilled and tapped to take the cap? I don't know if the case with the hole has a cast boss inside to thicken up the wall at that point to take the thread, has it?. Thanks.

My mate and I did discuss this as a cheaper alternative to buying a proper outer case with inspection hole. I do think the metal is thicker in that area. A friend made a hole and used a rubber grommet to cover. I did the same on my M21 however the oil does find its way out.

I shall have to find a cunning way of determining the thickness, but I sure wish I could buy an outer case already done by BSA, in 'case' I screw it up drilling and threading.
