HI Graybeard , I had mine done in jan this year , I can walk almost normal now its a bit painful first thing in the morning but I go on ok through the day , I do a lot of caravanning and just come back after a fortnight in Tennerif . so life doesn't end I stopped using walking aids ages ago , we have started dancing again , I used to have a ibrufen sandwich before I went to a dance ,now I don't take any im not saying I am completely pain free but ive still got over 6 months before the swelling has gone , im wearing normal shoes now. hope this is helpful, best of luck with your opp any more info just ask TW
