Historic exemption.
« on: 31.08. 2019 11:58 »
When the MOT exemption started I took my V5 to the correct Post Office and it was done over the counter. I am collecting a bike next week that has been off road for 3 years on a SORN. It is now over 40 years old. When I register the bike in my name on line, can I apply for a change of class from Bicycle to Historic online. Thanks.

My bike had been off the road for nearly 36 years. It was already registered in my name. When I applied for the road licence the bike was automatically marked as Historic. I did not have to prove that the machine was significantly unchanged since first registration.
