2nd hand bike sales.
« on: 22.08. 2019 15:53 »
Had a meet with a few of our like minded friends about selling bikes, a couple of them have really nice restored bikes up for sale. There are many on auction sites that are simply not selling.
It would seem that it is the case that no one has any cash. I am trying to sell my 650 at the moment and not a sniff. I would sooner keep it but I have another restoration arriving in a few weeks
and I don't have the room. I don't ride much lately but I love restoring them. What is going to become of the bike market "Property of a deceased estate".  *eek* .

Perhaps some prospective owners prefer to buy restoration projects for that experience, or unrestored original bikes.

I think maybe the bike market has dipped here a little in the UK at the moment.

I stuck my Camel on ebay some time back at what I thought was a very generous start price and got narry a sniff. Put it up in the classifieds in a couple of classic magazines at a higher price and got a lot more interest.
