Mmmm....Just take 3 Viagra and 1 Ibuprofen later for the headache, by the afternoon, feeling exuberant and young, one could fit 10 rockerboxes without any aids and doing so blindfolded.....

On that happy note, you could consider sleep to be like death, but without the long term commitment.

I am in awe that a few simple atoms can be assembled into the myriad of wonders on this unique (as far as we know) rock in space.

Today the news is that human endeavour is on course to screw things up big time. To my simple mind it seems that the human race is pretty clever at populating this planet. You can see its getting a bit more crowded, as in something simple like finding somewhere to live, let alone finding parking space, a hospital bed, a school place for your kids.

Big snag is the status quo makes some people very rich and they are not the people who will call a halt to economic or population growth. Apologies in advance if my thoughts upset you, rest assured I am trying to do my bit in everyday life to reduce my Carbon Footprint, Global Warming is for real.

Fewer folks would be good for the planet....most conflicts are down to the struggle for a bigger share of finite resources.

 Swarfy.

I'm sure there are strong views here, (we may even have Trump supporters  ;)) but I feel we need to take care on this friendly forum to avoid the dark pit that is politics.

I can only say that whilst I’m still making kid sized mistakes I feel like an old bloke in an old blokes body. I suppose at least when I walk past a mirror there are no grim surprises.

I do this by riding my BSA. It seems to collect most of the carbon in the combustion chambers, which gives a really tiny footprint, way smaller than my foot.
That's what the tree huggers mean by " carbon footprint", right?

Re Swarfy's comment on too many people. I find it very interesting to hear that the child population of the world is as high as it will ever be. The rise in the number of humans as predicted is due to an increase in longevity. Talk about being a victim of our own success. Similarly, pressure on the nhs is inevitable as it continues to improve our lot and lengthen our time spent existing (consuming). This can all seem a bit doom and gloom (i'm especially good at that) but it is kind of a natural event. The tipping point for the planet remaining a wonderful place for humans to prosper may have already passed. This is most upsetting for the poor and the young. This is the hardest thing for me. They are also the most able to adapt (resourceful, fittest, keenest).
On a lighter note, will pop out to pat the A10 's tank and have a nip of brandy whilst in the garage. A good place to count my blessings and read a bit more of "reasons and persons" by Derek Parfit. A  *sick* *countdown* *computer* *beer* *beer* *good3*quality read on why we do what we do and why not to worry about it!
