Priory Magnetos Ltd - Sevice update
« on: 12.11. 2018 08:35 »
I am sorry to report that I have had to close the business down again. This is due to personal illness which is potentially long-term. In any case I cannot find any mental space or motivation to keep the business open. Hopefully things will improve. I'm sure that customers and friends on the Forum have found the 'stop-start' situation over the last year or so very frustrating - so have I! I thank you for your patience and support. Andrew

Andrew,

Concern for our friend far outweighs anything else. Take care of yourself and get the best treatment available.

One all comes to some point, permanent or temporary, when to do what has to be done is the right thing and the good choice. And not letting feelings of regret or failure or whatever become any extra burden. Good luck, hoping things may change, take care.

Andrew, I am sorry to hear your latest news, but please accept my best wishes for a successful outcome.  I have always appreciated your level headed and sound comments over the years, and you have been an inspiration to keep me plugging away amongst the oil and grease.

Just noticed your signature picture looks to have a slightly different engine.      Regards, Swarfy.

Thanks for the very kind and understanding remarks. Exactly what I would expect from you guys. In spite of everything I still intend to meet my New Year's target of getting two more bikes on the road this year. the RGS copy is done. The second project, a green lane looky thingy is well on the way.

Always held you in the highest esteem Andrew from the professional and diligent way you have sorted my electrical problems over the last few years.

I can only wish you all the best for the future.

In an effort to bring a smile to ypur face you might be interested to know that our mutual friend with the mag with the patina of age has blown a gasket at me and the rest of our club as well now. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite ypur face! There's nowt so queer as folk!!

Sorry to hear things are not too good Andrew and I wish you all the best.

I don't know details but no matter how things seem to be stacking up against you there can be light at the end of a very dark tunnel.  I know this from first hand experience:-

I was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2011.  Then the usual routine of radiotherapy and chemotherapy followed by major surgery and then more chemo.
Late 2012 I was given the news it had spread to my liver and in 2013 more chemo, followed by the removal of half of my liver . . . but earlier this year (after 5 years of hospital check ups) I was given the all clear and apart from a few battle scars I don't feel any different now than I did before things started to go horribly wrong in 2011.

I don't take any tablets, medicine and I lead a perfectly normal life and I don't miss the 18" of my colon or the half of my liver that was removed.  I'm a few weeks short of 75 and I'm still able to work on my GF and ride it regularly throughout the summer and most times with my wife on pillion.  I consider myself lucky but also proof that things may not end up as bad as they may seem at first.
