Hi Everyone.
I'm a 69 year old British bike nut who has just bought a half finished A10 RGS replica. It's mostly a pile of bits and pieces ( some of them the wrong ones I'm sure) and as this is my first A10 for many years I could be imposing on your good natures for help and advice.
Many thanks in advance
Pete

They always look good in a photograph  *conf*
My winter project. Doesn't look too bad from a distance but there's enough work to keep me from under the wife's feet for a while. Not sure if my 69 year old back will stand clip ons and rear set rests so I might end up with touring trim.
It's in bits already and the search for parts begins. *roll* again.

Looks like a very good 'pile of bits'.

About the extra picture, click 'Modify' (post top menu, right), untick it (under 'Attached'), click Save.

Oh, that's a good one! Welcome to the forum. Have to ask, are those condoms protecting the exhaust ports? (Really, I'm pretty sure they are, but just hedging my bets, a little.)

G'day Pete, welcome to the party from down under.
Now the fun begins. Plenty of help here. Remember "there's no such thing as a stupid question", there may be some pretty silly answers..
Cheers

ps: deleted 2nd photo for you.

Hoorah for the best meccano set in the world. Good luck with the bike, it looks a good 'un. Lots of really helpful stuff here. Hope the condoms have kept the damp off of the valves. Well done Richard L for spotting that.

Good luck with that Pete!

Novel way to do things with the exhaust ports!

I have to try and blow them up for sure.

Jim,

Thanks for the nod, but now I'm doubting myself. Could just be rags. Only Pete can put us out of our misery.
