Oil Tanks. Poorly Made?
« on: 23.07. 2009 22:04 »
I dunno... I don't seem to have much luck with later A10 oil tanks. Is it a common problem that they are prone to splitting along the seam just by the oil inlet/outlet holes? Possibly by over tightening or the use of a rubber bung between the tank and frame, assumerbly to stop rattle. I have had two tanks that have been welded and two that have leaked when oil is hot.

Mine split once, around the base of the top/rear mount, but that was only because it didn`t have the front rubber mount connected  *doh*
