Sounds like a plug chop to check that the main jet size is correct would be in order. Of course, there are any number of gremlins lurking which could cause this. Wrong plug heat range, air vent in fuel tank not clear, constriction in fuel lines anywhere (including tap and float needle valve). Or Brexit.
I'd pull the fuel line off the carb and check for flow. If that's OK, I'd go for a plug chop.
