Hi all,
« on: 24.08. 2018 08:24 »
Let me please introduce myself.  I'm Edwin from the Netherlands and bought an A7 '59 a year ago.

The bike has been suffering for years in a damp shed  somewhere in the country. My first idea was to leave it as it is but then I decided to start the restoration.  When I was looking for technical information and tips & tricks, I ended up on this fantastic forum.

The discussions about the T/S bush and endplay have been very valuable to me already.

Thanks!  *smile*

Welcome along Dipstick.... Y'know, I actually made a dipstick for my A10 just to try and see how much oil I was losing. It was a bit of wire neatly bent and marked, to just rest on the threads of the oil tank cap screw, I soon gave up on it and only recently discarded it a few days ago.  *lol* *???*

In my opinion the A7 is smoother and more revy than the A10. I luv mine.

I did same with SS filler-rod, long enough to not fall in but without any fancy bends and still in use after six years....
