Sorry to hear of your mishap GB - but it happens to the best of us!
Here's a tale that might make you feel better maybe . . .
It was about the summer of 1975 that a group of us went over on our motley selection of bikes to the Shuttleworth Collection for one of their vintage flying days. As we approached the entrance, we caught up with a police rider on his Trihard Saint whom we knew because he used to come along to our local club to talk about Road Safety, advanced riding techniques and all that good stuff. We proceeded to the parking area, with him leading and us not being hooligans. You know what's coming . . .
He circled on a patch of gravel . . . and yup, he dropped it, in full view of the world and its wife. Maybe he'd got polish on the soles of his police boots!
He took it well for he was a very decent and well-liked bloke, but 'talk about embarrassed'!
