276 Carb

Hi All, can anyone advise me in the carburettor cables fitted to my GF. The carburettor cables are close to the frame and are currently bent to the shape for routing to the throttle twist grip. I have seen a bent tube or curve attached to some carburettors to enhance the smooth operation of the throttle. I must assume these are not sold but I could always make one.
Any advice or photos would be appreciated.
Kind regards Andy

I got mine from Surrey Cycles and it does make a difference to the smoothness. Fitting requires assembly before the cable is soldered.

I presume you are talking about the Plungie in your thumbnail. On the Plunger the cable must not have adjusters at the carb end as the frame is close. On my bike the cables fit fine.

I made a bend out of steel tube.
Also, if you have japanese bike throttle cables lying around, they usually have a bend in them that can be used, or modified.

Bicycle shops including Halfords have shaped stainless steel tube for cables.
