As part of a deal involving rebuilding my mate's wheels they went in his lot for chroming and they came out superb. I reckon redrilling may be the way to go though.
Maybe I'll spring for a pair of new blades to see how much modification they'd need.
Thanks.

It's only a BSA you know, not a Brough Superior!  *smile*

But it's the little details which make or break a restoration, and as the 'bars are one of the focal points of the bike then the levers need to be "right". If the blades and perches were clearly a mismatch it would pee me off every time I rode it... :!

I understand that, and if I were to do a resto, I'd be same if not more anal....but as far as I can tell, the lever combos you have are not listed for yours in the spares list anyway, so as I said-  must be an 'Original retro-fit' (as opposed to a later retro-fit- like now)  *conf*

All that is why I chose to never intend to restore, but to rebuild to suit me.
Started building in about 1977/8 a on average '52 A10 -built from bits 'n pieces never resto intended -maybe 'personalised'
Have a '74 850T Moto Guzzi since '92-best thing I ever bought doesn't need a kickstart 'cos it bump starts sooooooooo(mostly) easy

Very true Dutch, but this bike is also being built to suit me rather than some 1950's catalogue resto, but then I need the blades to suit the perches too! The mismatch is more like a very noticeable 6/7mm than a gentle bump in the transition.
Don't want to hear "you got the wrong levers on that mate" everywhere it's parked. *smile*

G'day Rex.
I'd take the perch's to a swap meet (autojumble) and look for something to fit then have them chromed.
Cheers
