2018 BSA International
« on: 16.02. 2018 07:44 »
Just a note to flog the 2018 BSA International Rally which will be in Halls Gap Victoria.
A week long so plenty of chance to show off your A 7 /10 T - shirts.

We will be hosting some Septics starting with a ride down from Sydney Tues or Wed before the rally to arrive Thursday evening.
Sydney- Bega
Bega - Myrtleford
Myrtleford - Halls Gap

Slow ride with lots of "tourist" stops for the visitors to get some selfies & swap bikes.
If any of you are interested.
Definately not a balls buster although when all the stops are factored in they will be long days , around 10 hours with about 4-5 saddle hours .

Bugga! No way out for me now, as you'll be passing my place. Lunch in Ulladulla? But then, I may be in Lithgow by then.
For sale house on 1/4 acre, 3b/room 2 bath 1 car (5 bikes), neighbours used to noisy bikes at all hours!

Shane was talking to a couple of riders in Qld who are thinking of trailering down to Syd then joining the ride ( 5th or 6th )
There will be a reasonable contingnet from the BSAOC Qld coming but I expect they will be trailering.
We have a branch at Sawtel NSW and one of them will be riding down but he will probably go directly down on the other side of the hill if he is going to be riding all week.

I sort of thought most would know of the international.
AFAIK the container of bikes ex UK is already full and the container from the USA is not far from full.

Very worthwhile coming down to meet & greet with some hardcore BSA enthusiasts , particularly those from the UK.

I'm glad I found this thread. Four of us are coming over from NZ. I'm the only forum member. I'm looking forward to meeting you fellow members, then. I wonder if you have any advice about where to easily get the compulsory 3rd Party insurance, that we were advised to get - by the AA letter that went with our Carnets? We would hope to be able to arrange this, for a short term - in advance, from NZ. One of our team keeps getting no response from Australian insurance websites.
The other topic is there is a party from the UK, that is arriving at the same time as us - using our same shipper, Ivan from Bikes Abroad. He is keen to organize a barbecue - on the 7th November. I wonder if its any forum members, in this group?

I'd try Shannon's Insurance..  Ring the phone number provided, talk to a representative & explain your requirements,   I've found them VERY helpful in the past...  *wink2*
