Hi all,
As you may recall from my introductory post (
https://www.a7a10.net/forum/index.php?topic=11496.0), I had been gifted the A7 by granddad as he was getting too old to ride it - sadly he passed away a fortnight ago. Whilst it's sad news, he'd led a good long life and the grim reaper catches up with us all eventually - he'd have been content, and is no doubt tinkering and fettling in the big workshop in the sky. This isn't a post looking for condolences.
Having had the enviable task of helping to sort through his "accumulated paraphernalia" (aka "junk"), there were a few photos I thought you might enjoy, so have (hopefully) shared them below.
Photo 1 - Date unsure (late 40s), is this his original a7?
Photo 2 - Newspaper cutting of Grandads adventures, circa 1948 (I thought the bike was wrecked but article states otherwise - bike involved was his first A7)
Photo 3 - 1980s, this is the A7 I'm now custodian of.
Photo 4 - Same bike again at the Stradsett vintage machinery show, early 00s
Photo 5 - as above, possibly different year but same show
Photo 6 - Me and Charlie (grandson and great grandson) when the bike first arrived here.
