Wanted: Rocker box

Looking for replacement rocker box because of stripped thread and parts book list 3 versions for A7s/, A10 s/r and A7, A10 but struggling to understand diffence.
I know I could helicoil or similar but watching item on EBay.

I am also watch a couple of rocker boxes now how do we ensure we dont bid against each other  . I think your need maybe greater then mine as I would like a spare for when the couple of studs that I think are stripped, proved to actually be stripped.

I think I have found the difference between rocker boxes for cast and alloy heads, the ones to suit alloy head would have additional clearance to cater for the larger valve springs.

Only needed on the Rocket and not needed with the Eddie Dow type Goldie spring conversion.

I picked a good one up at a Kempton jumble some time back, for around £35 including the innards.  It seemed to me to be very worthwhile being able to handle and inspect the item before purchasing, considering the type of damage they can have sustained (not to mention age, of course).

Helicoiling or similar are workable options. At least you know what you've got in that case.

I think 67-260 is the one you need, with the greater clearance as described in a post above.

IMO it's one of those items of which it is good to have a spare on the shelf.

Hi, I thought A7/10 rocker boxes were plentiful? I must have 2, 3 maybe 4 knocking around in various states of completeness (from memory).  Not viewed them for ages, so no idea of part numbers, or state of threads but if interested PM me and I'll dig them out - happy to send photos if really keen!
