The grub screw is 1/4 x 20tpi Whit, not 26 tpi CEI

I have come to realize that if it threads into aluminum on our bikes, its probably whitworth. Being that its a more course thread, it wont strip out of aluminum as easily as BSC.

I have a feeling I bought some of those with hex-socket ends maybe in stainless at the local 'nuttery' (Nut 'n Bolt shop), which is handy but not so good if rivet counting :!
Started building in about 1977/8 a on average '52 A10 -built from bits 'n pieces never resto intended -maybe 'personalised'
Have a '74 850T Moto Guzzi since '92-best thing I ever bought doesn't need a kickstart 'cos it bump starts sooooooooo(mostly) easy

I wish I would have been so smart. Getting that screw out with the gearbox in the bike is not a lot of fun.

John

I took it from  -  http://stainlessbits.com/link12.html  -  using the part number.
