Nearly there.
« on: 08.07. 2017 16:25 »
Here are a few pictures of my restored bike before it goes off to have the sidecar fitted.
Hope you like it.  *doubt*
Still got to fit the T.L.S. when it arrives.
A BIG thank you to all the members that have helped me to get this far.  *wink2*

Wow! Very nice, Roy. Congrats.

I was thinking that it's a lucky coincidence that sidecars on A7/10s mount on the left, leaving our signature timing covers open to view (like Hamton Court).

G'day Roy.
Very smart mate  *yeah*.
You must be very tall, going by the height of the mirror  ;). Nice mohawk and kneeling in worship of the SS (I luv looking at reflections in the chrome tanks)  *lol*.
Why a sidecar on an SS? They handle very well and go like stink.
Cheers

Old Age Mate,
I would love to ride it solo  *smile* but
I have a gammy left ankle from a motorcycle accident in 1968 (on my 1966 BSA spitfire)
and can't trust it not to give way at the wrong moment.  *sick*
Mirror not set yet, just pushed it off the hoist so that my son could take pictures and video.
Cheers,
Roy.

Here's a couple of pics of the Spitfire I had my accident on in 1968.

Nice mohawk...

Fairly sure that's not intentional. ;)

G'day Roy.
That's understandable mate.
I'm toying with the idea also. The wife can't climb on the back anymore (back, hip and shoulder buggered) and I really do miss taking her for rides. I think the next time I rebuild the plunger I'll convert to A10 and throw a chair on.
Cheers

Nice Spitfire~!  I have a 68 spitfire in project form as one of my keepers.  Similar style tank (mine is lined with a special liner and avoid alcohol based fuels)  My intent long term is to keep 2 unit A65s and sell off all my other projects.
So keeping the 1968 Spitfire (Euro/UK style) and a 65 Lightning clubman.  I have the Borrani rims and TLS front stopper, mildly reworked head, twin carbs and unit version #357 cam, 1972 Oil pump and modified rods.

That's my son, Jim, no mohawk.
He keeps his hair short 1/4".
