Stainless drip tray
« on: 07.07. 2017 23:36 »

  Yesterday I ordered some fasteners from Classic Fasteners, and had a browse for other stuff I don't need and came across this, in case anybody is looking for one in the future;

  http://www.classicfasteners.com.au/bsa-a7-a10-rgs-carburettor-drip-tray/

 A bit useless though as;

"Current Stock:
                       Out of stock
                       Sorry but this item is currently unavailable.
                       Please check back at a later stage."
Started building in about 1977/8 a on average '52 A10 -built from bits 'n pieces never resto intended -maybe 'personalised'
Have a '74 850T Moto Guzzi since '92-best thing I ever bought doesn't need a kickstart 'cos it bump starts sooooooooo(mostly) easy

I purchased one of these off ebay for my 1958 A7ss, it does NOT fit (too wide).
The one for the shooting star is narrower to miss the lead from the magneto.

 Fair enough, but was it from the 'Classic Fasteners' eBay shop (if they have one?)...?

 Personally, If I had a use for one, I'd wrangle up a bit of sheet stainless and make one, at least then I can only hold myself to account *smile*

 I have looked around for one too Dutch.

 It seems a few years ago you saw them for sale everywhere. Now not at all.

 Maybe they were all like the one Roy got, and they simply did not fit. Maybe the same maker made them all in a one shot run.

 I always wondered if they would crack pretty quickly being stainless?

 I ended up buying a used original, its not pretty but it should fit.

If you ask Dutch, nothing is too Dutch.

there are different part numbers for the A7ss & A10sr = 67-0527 and the one for A7 & A10 = 67-0120.
