Insurance companies consider that after a no fault accident, you are more likely to be involved again, hence raising your premium. What a load of b@@@@@@s.

Indeed but they have all the data and as we know there are lies, damned lies and statistics… They have a captive audience and can say whatever they like.  They even have a term for your part in a technically not at fault situation and apply a percentage for the degree of “ contributory negligence” they can lay at your door. I kind of get it I mean we’ve all known these people haven’t we?…the ones who’ve “never had an accident but seen hundreds!” (just to be clear, I’m not suggesting you are one of them!) *smile*

I'm considering doing the IAM, (driving) course.
https://www.iamroadsmart.com
I know passing their test is not easy. Have any of you done it? I'm told that holding that qualification can reduce your insurance premiums.

I've held a full car licence for 54 years.

As I'm in my 70's I worry that in any car 'incident' my age might be cited as a contributing factor. I consider myself to be a good driver, (doesn't everyone). I've not had any vehicle convictions since I was in my 20's.

When I bought my current BMW, I insisted that I have one with indicators fitted. I know they are not common but the dealer managed to find one for me.

G'day Fellas.
I had a pleasant surprise when organizing insurance for our new cars. Down here if you incur demerit points on your license (booked for speeding and now on "good behavior"  *whistle*) the premium rises.. The young lass went to ask her super and came back 5 minutes later saying "No Mr A your premiums will remain the same"  *smile*
I luv Shannon's.
Cheers
