A 10
« on: 24.05. 2017 09:51 »
Hi folks,

Been a while from i have been on the net, getting near the finishing post now my bike is slowly getting together due to ill health its been in the garage under cover. But set a date now Town parade in August  *smile*

Just bought a new Tank from India not here yet so hope all the tales of woo are wrong its a round badge tank but which badges gold star or crossed arms my bike is a7 no GAZ.7144 but im putting an a10 engine DA10 6005 tank is cherry red.

She is far from standard as i built stainless rims & spokes stainless mudguards Lucas tail light & short megaphones.

Any ideas on tank badges and rubbers i have a set of three side ones but think the oval might look better .

No problem with spelling, just add a few .'s and empty lines in between :O)

Thanks for the news post. Pics from the finished job + parade very welcome.

Taylor,

Glad to hear that your health has improved enough to carry on with the bike. Riding in that parade will be a triumph (please note, small "t").

I have neither knee pads nor small-diameter badges on my tank, but I'm full of opinion (bet you've never heard it called that before). For my tuppence, oval pads with these badges would look great: Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/381265026627

No clue if these are the best quality or price for this type. I just grabbed the eBay post because of the pictures.

Please keep us posted on the progress with stories and pictures.

Richard L.

P.S. If you write in metal you can ride your story.

Are those the badges you were planning?

Top Gold Star type is usually 4 inch diameter.

The lower one is usually 3 inch diameter.

Choice will depend on the size of badge recess in your tank ( I suspect it is 3 inch).
