A10 footrests and assorted gubbins for sale
« on: 04.06. 2009 19:50 »
Just got the latest Classic Bike Guide:
In the Classifieds I noticed someone selling a set of footrests the long bolt and the splined hangers along with rubbers for £50.
I don't think these are available new, and they are so often missing from projects. Its not my place to post this guys telephone number on the internet, so PM me if you need it.
Cheers,
Tombeau

Often the splines are very worn being as they are quite thin, it's a good tip NOT to stand up on the footrest while riding along as if one should shear! Ooer!  *eek*

I will need footpegs for my super rocket basket, but I have hopes of going with a more cafe style so hopefully I can create something rather than source these! of course if some fall in my lap I'd be happy, but not about to pay this dearly for them yet!

thanks for the heads up tho, I'm sure we all appreciate the opportunity!!

Ah, that would make going over bumps quite uncomfortable, as off the seat seems the way to go and, then, you are not casually getting up on them but quickly and spontaneously.  LJ, you're scaring me! Can one of our experienced machinists tell me how the splines get on the inside of the pegs?

Nonsense Richard! The A10 should ride smoothly over the bumps if the forks are well damped. Try the bumps with a Girder/Rigid!  *eek*  *lol*
