Inspection cover screws
« on: 24.04. 2017 08:43 »
I searched the net for screws to fit the gearbox inspection cover (1/4 cei x 7/16 No 24-7178) and the only ones that I can find are from USA (Too much postage).
I looked through the screws that I already have and 1/4 BSF look very close.
Are they close enough to use ?.

I'm using BSF Socket caps that I bought before I knew better, and work fine- I believe the only difference is the 55º/60º thread angle
Started building in about 1977/8 a on average '52 A10 -built from bits 'n pieces never resto intended -maybe 'personalised'
Have a '74 850T Moto Guzzi since '92-best thing I ever bought doesn't need a kickstart 'cos it bump starts sooooooooo(mostly) easy

or https://sites.google.com/site/priorymagnetos/gearbox---swing-arm-type

others are also possible - often called clutch adjustment cover screws, I've bought them so they're out there

You'll find them here..... https://sites.google.com/site/priorymagnetos/gearbox---swing-arm-type

All sorted.
Andrew, of Priory Magnetos, put two in the post to me, when they arrived I called him up to thank & pay him and he said " Happy to help, NO CHARGE".
Once again Andrew, a big thank you.
Roy.
