Hydroblasting

I recently purchased a set of A7 cases & crank on eBay from Carlo in West Sunshine Victoria.
Carlo Owns SQUARE ONE FACTORY Hydroblasting services...
He also ownes several BSA's & is a member of the local BSA Owners club.
If you need hydroblasting of parts I can recommend him highly, prices are good & he's up for a chat..

Hi Wozza,
How do you propose to clean out the oilway from the PRV to the cam trough?
It looks like a good method to clean the cases though

G'day John... He had them on display at a national bike swap meet the weekend before..
When I went to pick it up the cases they were in 2 halves because he had just re-cleaned them & taken them out of the hydrobath and was blowing out all orifices with compressed air...
Are the oilways clean you ask... buggered if I know? they look clean on the ends.. I guess a pipe cleaner shoved up the hole would shed some light on their condition...
BUT as it's tucked away in a air tight plastic bag with silica beads to absorb moisture in my shed

Well you got me interested... soooo... I ventured out in the cold & wet  into the shed, & pulled the
PRV valve out of the A7 motor ... & yep it's nice & clean, hasn't been blasted but it did have traces of clean oil on it.. so I disassembled & gave that one a quick wash in petrol, replaced the ball with a new one, & swapped it with the one in the A10 plunger motor...
