I have seen the ones on eBay and they are way out of my price range. I was just hoping that someone would have an old one sat in their garage. It does not have to be immaculate as its for my A10 spitfire scrambler.

The days of cheap original chronometrics is long gone  *sad2*even a donor one is worth quite a few bucks to trade against a refurbished one

An alternative is a cheapo Indian repro 
There's a seller on ebay who has ones with the thread to take original cables and a shallower casing than the earlier versions
Do a search over on the C10/11/12 forum, the buyers on there seem happy, They needed shallow ones to fit into the  petrol tanks of the late 0's and early 50's models

Not sure wether the guys in UK are still in business. I sent them an email 3 months ago. No reply. I sourced my speedo from agent in New York. It was an odd item he had on his shelf.

   I was in contact with Russell around about December, and he was very helpful in identifying my SC 3305/22  1620.

 I asked if I could post the email transcripts on here, but I got sidetracked looking for the thread I used to enquire, but he said that'd be fine.

 He said he worked for Smiths in the Calibration department.

  Just curious, but is it an A10 speedo? If it's been sitting on the shelf since new, might be worth considering a grease and oil change?  Reason I say is because recently my speedo (above) had a bit of a hernia and needed overhaul, but it had only done 10K miles since (I think) it was overhauled in about '79, so is possible the lubes had deteriorated (dried), as it sat unused for 10 years or so before my latest rebuild.

 Quick overview on its history; Probably from a '68 A65, and the code on the back "PS: *****", indicates ' Police Service/Special(?) **** '

He is still in business, I purchased a tacho from him in November, sent a speedo to him in March for conversion/restoration and recently received it. Outstanding work I must say.
Keep sending emails and he will eventually respond. Maybe he was on a holiday.

Since we are now being straight up about suppliers....
Down in Oz I had a speedo and tacho reconditioned by Lionel Otto Instruments (Qld) and the speedo has already failed.  Also found that the bezel seal was a roughly cut piece of foam.  Not impressed at all.
So I took the speedo to Ringwood Speedos (Vic) for repair at my cost and it is working nicely.

Russell is out of luck and I gave up on him, so I ordered a speedo needle from eBay (delivered from uk in a few days, very impressive, if pricy) and beezermacc has posted the rest of the speedo parts I need.

 Call 'em and let them know, I had them repair my  speedo , but it needed an extra tweek (adjustment) in one of the gear clutch bitzie whazits, and when the beeza runs it now works ok, also tweeked my Gutzzi Veglia (Vaguelia) and it now works ok as can be.....

 I worked with JR there in a different faculty a while ago, and I know he's open to comment- tell him I sent you back
