K2K Magneto - no spark

I have a Norton Dominator which I think has a K2F Magneto.  I acquired the bike last summer and with some difficulty got it running. Once started, it is good and a great ride. I have kept turning it over during the winter but no sign of starting. I have removed the plugs (which do get petrol) but there is absolutely no spark, even in the dark. I have cleaned the points and checked that I get a gap as they turn.  The bike has been restored and the mag looks externally in good nick.  Any thoughts on resolution much appreciated.  Pat

If you don't have any information about the magneto, i.e you don't know if it has been restored, you would be advised to let a magneto specialist have a look at it. If it has been restored before it may be quite easy to fix it. If it hasn't been restored, it needs to be!

does it have spark at the points with the end cap off?
IF so... it may be earthing from the kill switch ...
IF not...  as beezermacc suggested get it restored..

As Beezermacc and Wozza say.
If you wanted, you could test for basic HT continuity by sticking a meter from the brass segment of the slipring  to the mag body having removed a pick-up - should be a few thousand ohms. An infinite reading means trouble, probably because the coil is open line or, best case, is not connected properly to the slipring (or earth). At least you'd then know you had a real problem on your hands.
You should see the same K ohms from the contact breaker centre screw to the slipring, and should have (almost for sure will have), less than 1 ohm from the cb screw to the mag body with the points held open. This will show the low tension primary winding is OK and will also tell you that the coil is indeed earthed as both primary and HT winding are earthed in common.
Suspect you need to talk to Beezermacc!

If your points are as the photo make sure that the outer spring does not touch the cam ring and that the small backing spring is not displaced to the side touching the base plate, both would earth the points.

If the fault is not obvious then you need to get it checked over and renovated as necessary.

Lots of nice people out there and a few things to try before I have to take it off.  Many many thanks.  I did the easy test, removing the cap...no spark😕  Norton a gift from my dad, shall suggest trading it in for a Beeza.

Don't trade it in, just buy a BSA and you will have two great bikes.

Started building in about 1977/8 a on average '52 A10 -built from bits 'n pieces never resto intended -maybe 'personalised'
Have a '74 850T Moto Guzzi since '92-best thing I ever bought doesn't need a kickstart 'cos it bump starts sooooooooo(mostly) easy
