If you haven't figured it out already.......that brake pedal is hard to find and expensive when you do. I got one about 6 months back (on EBay) and don't want to admit what I had to pay. As I recall, it's the same pedal used on the singles (think Gold Star).

hiya Eric, so what you're intending to build is basically a 'VcRGS' (RGS with a Vincent motor) kinda thing ??
Started building in about 1977/8 a on average '52 A10 -built from bits 'n pieces never resto intended -maybe 'personalised'
Have a '74 850T Moto Guzzi since '92-best thing I ever bought doesn't need a kickstart 'cos it bump starts sooooooooo(mostly) easy

I thought the Gold Star brake pedal was specific to the model with its rear sets, except the touring one...
I'm looking for a most common pedal from a twin or even a B single.

Not RGS duTch. I'm building this bike with what I have in the workshop, '54 twin frame, swinging arm, wheels, seat and yokes, Spitfire petrol tank, '62 rear mudguard, Norton short Roadholder forks, BSA gearbox and series C Vincent Comet engine. I don't even know how I should name this when it's finished!
Cheers.

As Jachenbach said the pedals are hard to find, anything but common  *sad2*

The early frame may be the type that takes the "gold star" centre stand stand?
There are different type lugs on the frame for the different stands
The photo attached shows the lugs for the forged stand (GS)
Autocycle engineering in UK have good replica's of this stand, they will also have the pillion rests

As far as I can find out,the inner half prop stand lug  is not available  ???
( I am looking  to fit a prop stand to a B31 frame as well)
Pattern side stands are available (Burton Bikes) at about £100  *eek*
Quality ????????
Keep looking on eBay and be prepared to bid hard  :o

Try Cake Street Classics, they supplied me a new side stand for around £30 a couple of years ago. Fitted straight on and no problems since.

Not all Gold Stars had rearsets. Actually, replica brake pedals for rearsets are readily available. It's the longer "touring" versions that are expensive and harder to find.

Difficult post Cake Street Classics are really good did the re-build on my A7 5 years ago and am still loving it. But unless he has changed his supply don't buy a side stand from him. Mine broke within weeks and I was lucky no damage, he was great when I went back and gave a full refund, but he said it was the best he could get but they were still crap.
The A7 now has a Suzuki bandit side stand. Made the bracket from scaffolding pipe, cut in half then lugs welded on and ground and filed until it fitted and looked good. Very over engineered and works great.  *smile*

...I don't even know how I should name this when it's finished!
You could ask for suggestions from the forum but it might end up being named 'Motorbikey McBikeface'

Eric, do you have any of the part numbers or better description for the brake pedal and side stand - I have a couple of spares.  I bought a pedal (at great expense) that was the wrong style - I needed the one for the cross over spindle and this one's the other version - but is the longer touring type one for standard pegs.
Pretty sure the side stand I have has the weld on clamp - so would either bolt on if you already have a welded clamp in place or if not could be clamped and welded in place.  If I have time I'll do a couple of pictures (but might struggle with other commitments to be honest).

Hi All,
When I spoke with Autocycle re the propstands, they said "beware" *eek* of the ones available *????*
I have original BSA legs for my projects but need 2 sets of lugs,
I feel fabrication coming on *work*
I just finished making a pair of  centre stand pivots and the reinforcing half tube that fits between them for the B33&1/2 project (as in the pic posted)
The way the reinforcing piece was fitted by BSA leaves a moisture trap between the cross tube and half tube *problem*

As BSA used cosmic names for quite a few models, such as  Star, Lightning, Rocket, Thunderbolt
Maybe "BSA Comet" is a suitable name for the special *????*

Hi Raymond,
The Brake Pedal I'm looking for is part number 42-7003. That's the one fitted to swinging arm models in '54 and '55.
With regard to your side stand, is it original or replica. I'd would like to use as much original parts as possible.
According to your pseudo, I guess you are a Triple owner as well. Right?
Cheers.

Eric, sorry - no joy. The pedal I have is a 67-7026
And even worse - I can't find the stand. Only managed to turn up the weld on half clamp.
Sorry if I got hopes up without having checked first.
Oh and I'm a wanabe triple owner - maybe next project.
