sorry, I am an IT guy I work on IT applications for complex tasks that users tell me are easy to use, and to me this website is a joke. I nearly gave up last year it should not be this hard.
So I have logged in, I think nothing to tell you that you have and it asks you to register for a ride, can not see BSAA7A10forum so use search find it click on it and get a popup that has Albany NY as the default, no I think and there is no reference to BSA's. Then I search again and try the sponsor link and then the ride with us link and again same popup with Albany.
I think just to ensure anyone who would like to ride on the day and sponsor via the group it would be good to have some step by step instructions by someone more patient then me. I will try again 'when' the name is changed to worldwide or something defiantly identifiable.

Right, I've joined the team. Had to be registered and logged in then searched for 'Bsa A7/a10 Forum' [this is the exact string so copy & paste it] before I was offered the chance to join, (after clicking on the circular DGR symbol).
I'm riding the Coventry UK ride.

Yep, it's pretty convoluted. I will make no excuses for it other than saying it is probably providing gainful employment for one of the organizers' relatives. I hope everyone finds their way in and will participate in the ride. As for the organizers themselves, Mark and Mikey, my dealings with them have been very good and they seem like great guys.

I thought that was how you selected the ride you were joining  , now do I struggle to correct it !!! and if so how !!!

Now is it worth changing were I am riding again.
To All other members. You don't have to ride on one of the organised events although that could be fun. You don't have to contribute although every little helps. You don't even have to dress up in silly cloths, although that helps raise the profile of the event and is another way of giving.

My nearest official ride is 70 miles away via dual carriageway and more by the roads I enjoy riding so I am doing it locally on a VMCC section run. I will dress up again this year even though last year I was the only one on the ride and got a lot of teasing about it.

The point is sign up and ride your bike on this day, just shear volume of numbers keeps the corporate sponsors happy and again just riding is another way of giving +++ its fun

Yep took me a while found help online that talked about a dashboard, but no link to it. So logged in again and went straight to it https://www.gentlemansride.com/login/dashboard. Then to the left there is a menu and on one of the options either the account or rider profile there is an option to upload a picture. Think I am slowly becoming an expert now

I’d imagine that the problem lies behind the fact that proper web site design and construction don’t come cheap, and there are probably a lot of graphics type graduates who think they know what’s what. I think it’s pretty easy as a user to see quite quickly what is wrong with a web site – and for sure there is plenty of lousy stuff out there, but designing something good might be a whole bunch harder.

Better that we have to deal with a half Rsed web site and more of the donations go to the cause I’d suggest.

G'day all.
Getting ready to set off to the DGR breakfast. Last time I wore a tie was last years DGR. On the Cafe this year so will be stuck in 1st and 2nd gear. Over 50 riders in the Ulladulla ride.

Getting ready for the Edinburgh ride once I have cleaned out the goose house and checked the sheep. Interested to see if any other BSAs will be there. Not going for the suit and tie though - this is Scotland in Autumn after all!
