Just wondered if anyone has tried pre-registering for the DGR yet? I have (twice in fact) but haven't received any email confirmation to say I've pre-registered. Any idea when the 'proper' registration starts?

By the way, I'm hoping to ride either the London or Oxford event.

I pre-registered. I don't think they send confirmation for this, rather, they probably just use it to email notices.

I think GB did the Oxford run out last year.

I did London a couple of years ago on my A10; it was a warm day and the traffic was inevitably bad. My all iron engine got to warm my calves more than a little (downside of wearing plus 4s perhaps) but the bike stayed a good un. Last year I did Cambridge on my Nimbus and the traffic was much worse there. That bike is a real big lump of iron, and got a bit snotty, but kept running.

I have a clash this year with a Sunbeam Club rally, but the ‘Beam is in disgrace at the moment so we’ll see. I’ll certainly put off pre registering for now. I was wondering about using my     
H1 Kawa and going with some loon flares and tie and die top – keeping it all in period but would that be distinguished enough?

I may do the Coventry DGR this year. I wasn't very happy with certain aspects of the Oxford ride. Coventry is much closer to me than Oxford. I just hope the ride isn't around the hideous Coventry inner ring road.

Not registered yet and again we have a club ride to BattleBridge (essex), that day so I will combine the two as Cambridge was the nearest last year and that did not look or sound like fun. I hope I will not be the only one this year. Any one else in that area what to join the ride or meet there, they are more then welcome.

If you have issues with the route, I believe you could contact the leader of the particular ride to make suggestions. To get the contact information for a specific ride leader you could write to Mark Hawwa (the founder of the DGR) at mark@gentlemansride.com.

I am working on it, but I think they already believe I am making a takeover bid, and so am meeting some resistance to some of my 'new' ideas  .
I am one of the younger members our oldest has just had his 90th birthday and he was still riding last year. They are something to live up to

I pasted BSAA7A10Forum into the team search box and got no results.

I just did the search (magnifying glass at top of page) using "BSA" and it's there in the resulting list. Like last year, I've requested the ride name for the team be changed to "Worldwide Ride" rather than "Chicago Ride". Also, I don't know why there is a lowerecase "a" in the name, but that is trivial.
