As Cyclobutch say is was cold, windy and dizzily here yesterday, so no dressing up, except in warm dry gear and I did a short 30 mile loop on the Norton

Great pics and description, thinking i need to get the A10 to Kenya!. Well done Guy, that's an impressive ride out for sure. You look to have had great fun with a good mix of people and bikes. Need to up my game for next year. Gonna be difficult to compete with that stunning scenery. In the second part of my DGR ride we did manage to pass the sewage treatment works tho which could be of some interest if a little smelly.

DGR moved to May starting in 2021. In 2021, the date is May 23rd. Apparently, weather at the end of September has been a problem. Hope their choice is not a year early due to continuing pandemic.

And a nice straight level job your making of it BS, once the tractor work was finished fencing was what my mate and I did in the winter months (think that was what did for my knee and my hips beginning to make its presence felt).

We have a minor road dividing our smallholding. Years ago we fenced off a stretch on one side of the road and planted it up with native trees. The latest is doing the same on the opposite side. I've just finished moving the fence on the original side to give more room for more trees and wild flowers. We don't have so many sheep these days and can afford to sacrifice pasture for amenity and wildlife. Not to mention carbon capture. I found I was eligible for a grant - came to £9 12p. Didn't bother...
If you count the hedging, that's 8,000 trees over the years. Some of the first are now 60 feet tall.
Back to topic. If, and it's still a big if, the Covid pandemic is under control, I'm contemplating taking the 1913 Douglas on the DGR.
Clutchless, minimal brakes. Could be fun!

I just got an email from DGR saying there moving the date of the DGR to 23rd of May 2021. More favorable weather for the both hemispheres.

I have a 1922 Triumph SD which could be a my 2021 DGR... similar stopping capabilities to your Douglas. we could discuss the 'fun' aspects afterwards if we survive...
