Gents,

I have registered a team for the DGR under the name "THE BSA A7-A10 Forum". When I first did this, it said "Taking Part in Chicago Ride". I wrote the organzers and asked them to change it to "Taking Part in Worldwide Ride". Surprise of surprises, they got it done within 18 hours. I arbitrarily entered $1000 as the goal, but that's probably ridiculous (though, it would only take 50 members at $20/ea.). Basically, you enter as an individual and can be tagged to a team.

I saw that Topdad (Bob) has signed up for Liverpool. Good on you, Bob. Anyone else?

I instantly regretted signing in just on my name and wanted to amend to ,with "e"s permission, To BSA A7- A10 Forum . I didn't have time yesterday but will today , was organising some sponsors ,namely My Son's company ,The Formby Health Rooms and Pharmacy , My local Pub (thinking about it ) ! a couple of solicitors Practices and my Daughters NHS pharmacy team plus of course my own company, first advice Mortgage Service so we'll see what we can raise . This run  seems to be growing from just 2 runs in 2014 to numerous in 2016, fingers crossed for a reasonable day .

We used to call them ***-pot helmets as well as pudding bowls. As far as I know they aren't legal in the UK.

Err - yeah, it's a hat  Though believe it or not I did have some jobsworth trying to apply a no helmets rule one Sunday afternoon when I wandered into Tesco in it for some sausages. If you do have an original from in era with the kite mark then in fact it is still legal.

I'm thinking about registering for the Cambridge ride rather than London. Spotted Richard's group set up for us in the registration process - thanks.

Richard - remember that post that Brexit vote we're smarting under the exchange rate of our GBP being worth only about one of what anybody else has now.

No pressure, at all, to put in money. I just think it would be cool to have many of us riding on the same day in, basically, the same event. At the end, we raise one to the event and to our mates.

I've been expecting some twat to demand I remove my Davida Jet helmet when I'm paying for fuel. I'll be ready with an angry response when it happens!

If you already know some people who are interested, there's an option to "Host a Ride" on the web page. I notice there are few rides in Oz with just a couple of riders. It would be weird to be in a ride as the only rider, but I bet someone will be doing it.
