Well bikes been run in etc. Decided to take her off the road to sort out the grabbing front brake and the grumbling magneto(stuttering above 50 and getting worse). So I popped the sump plate off and no broken shims etc *smile*

Well here we are again. Sounds like the drive side big end has given up, death rattle noises and clanks when turned by hand. Shoot me

Pain in the idiot !! But better at this time than in next summer at least you may have more shed time . I'd whizz the head/barrels off to check there condition , lightens the lump at least if yo have to remove it for a full stripdown . best of luck

I would post pic's but my camera min resolution is 5mb. Looks like,so far, the small end was well loose. It fell out. It was only replaced 2 years ago which is strange then I found out why. Someone had turned down the outside diameter so when cold its a tightish fit, when hot it moves around and falls out. Conrod looks undamaged so I still have to strip the rest to finish checking.

Hi,
There are several programs that will reduce photos so they can be added to topics
Fastone is a good one
On an iphone you can email the photos to yourself and it gives an option to reduce the picture resolution

John

Just about every email application will automatically downsize photos to screen resolution ( 72 dpi).
Some will compress and some will just change the resolution .
