Hi from Dave in Poole
« on: 16.03. 2016 23:23 »
Hi guys, just saying hello, just had a new hip so far too much time on Internet, just bought a 1960 A10, should have it back here over next few days, will put some pics on later, been a while since I had an old Beeza, current road bike is a Harley FLTR 2000, and just finishing off a custom Harley build, hopefully msva once fit again, other Toy is a 545 Ci (9litre) Dax Cobra I built up from scratch, took 11 years! Looking forward to being involved on the forum.  Dave

Welcome Dave, bad hips and kick starts always a tricky combination. Hope it all comes good for you.
There's always the option of fitting an electric leg if your pockets are deep enough.

A good rider periodically checks all nuts and bolts with a spanner to see that they are tight - Instruction Manual for BSA B series, p46, para 2.

G'day Dave,  *welcome*.
You'll find working on the A10 so much more pleasurable. I'd rather do an A7/10 rockerbox than a HD intake manifold.
The Dax sounds like fffffunnnn. 6-700HP in a little thing like that. you'd pull a few G's at every set of lights  *eek*.

Thanks guys, yes kickstart and hip don't mix but will see, electric leg far too much cash! Did look at the feasibility of compression releases like HARLEYS use, probably not enough room on head will have a look once bike with me, yeh cobra is a beast, over 700 ft lb torque! Stupid really😄

HI Dave from the up here near the Scottish Border, hope the hips hip, no articulating replacements here so far but got a knee that could use some Moly, I feed it codeine instead (and figs - don't ask!)

keep us posted with A10 progress

Hi guys, just updating, after getting the mag back from Andrew at priory and some tweaking about with the timing, got the old gal fired up, it did bite me with the kick back! Bottom of left foot still sore but now running, loads of tidying up to do, clutch baskets a little wobbly so need to check that out, took the custom to msva on wed, failed on a few points but nothing too drastic, so need to sort those jobs out before booking a retest, so lots going on, I will get some pictures sorted, and need to do a few jobs to get some beer(toy) tokens.  Dave

Not sure what happened there! Tried some pics of the custom and the cobra but size too big

adm edit, fixed the picture (converted to standard .jpg and rotated), removed duplicates. About size, see Forum Info & Help
