HAGD for the Kiwi's only sorry

 The NZ Sidecar racing association has booked the Taupo track (track 3, the old circuit), for Saturday the 30th of April for the 2016
known as the HAGD or "Have a Go Day" , members of the public (for a notional charge) can have a ride on modern or classic racing sidecars   .

All are welcome and includes rides for small children and grandparents

Double darn, I am leaving like 2 weeks before this would have loved to have a go. I think. Although on further thought I had a go in a Mini Se7ern class race car a few years ago and it took an hour for me to stop shaking

There are probably very few sports where you are as intimate with the track surface as a sidecar "passenger";   skimming above the track with just a handhold to keep you on.

Sadly the beesa had lost a carburetor bolt by the time I caught up with Warwick one of our South Island members  so the bike was only out for a fairly short time. But a great day.

Good Man,
it is a great day out, not just for existing bike riders too, but for the whole family including grandma and the young uns.
There will be old sitters like mine, through to some seriously fast moderns, with the opportunity for a pootle or a rush around the track.
Its very special. I highly recommend. Sidecar people are a social bunch.

Ah, not looking promising, the two day meeting last weekend took its toll and the bikes starting a major refit a week earlier than planned rather than bugger it more.
By September it will be quite a new weapon
But right now Its not really fit for action
