Well I suppose there are many aspects that determine the length of your riding season. Alongside youth and enthusiasm would be your geographic location, acquiescence to put your loved ones out on a potentially salted surface, as well as your riding gear. Most of my bikes are tucked away in the dry, all drained down and on SORN. This year I have continued to run my Guzzi V50 throughout, at least on an occasional basis. It has a finish that is challenged enough that a little more corrosion won’t hurt unduly, a decent sized screen plus extra hand guards, along with a 12V system that will support the all-important heated grips. And then bundling myself up fairly substantially, trips of reasonable length can still be enjoyed.
My longest is the monthly ride out to Sunbeam Club (actually SoF) which is about a 110 mile round trip of an evening. Around two and a half hours on the road for an hour or so in the pub talking part numbers.
