Small journal -20 big end shells wanted
« on: 31.12. 2015 13:25 »
I am after a new set (4) of 0.020" small journal big end shells, I have searched ebay and the main BSA suppliers and all seem to be out of stock, if anyone can help? Happy new year to all, Larry.

try C&D auto's, as they have a very small net presence they typically have stock when many of the online suppliers don't.
you can email or ring them.
A mate got small jnl shells off them last year when no one else appeared to have them

+1 for C and D.  I've bought a few bits from them recently and a lot more 30 years ago. They know their stuff and prices can be quite keen too.

Thanks, tried C&D none in stock, I may have to have another 010" ground to take it to 030", which would be a shame to 'waste' 010" though, I will keep searching for a while, thanks for your help.

Have you tried DeGroot-bsa.nl ? They are listing them and allowing them to be added to the online Cart.

Thanks Richard, you are a star, I am taking the crank for re-grind this week, I will check with the engineer that the 020" if fine and order from them. Once again the forum gives results, happy new year! Larry.

After all the searching my crank had to be ground to .040" so I am now on the lookout for these!

i have the same problem, -20 are impossible to find, found some -30 so going to get the crank ground.
don't like having to grind the crank when there is no need.

I'm pretty sure I have all sizes in stock. Obviously I'm not in the workshop at the moment but can be contacted in the morning after 10.00 a.m.
