My BSA 58 SR in GF disguise
« on: 09.11. 2015 08:57 »
Bsa SR frame FA7 56XX. Engine CA10R 75XX
Delivered to: Michaels Garage , Selby  16 May 1958
Finished in: Gray

I restores my 1958 SR in 1995-1996, when I lived in the Grimsby UK.
It was restores as a 1956 GF, to keep it in “disguise”

Ups, a quick GF    *eek*

The reason for early style mudguards and round fuel tank logo:

I like the early style much better, then the late style.

The late type nacelle, look like at “tube on a plate”  and is a bit odd.

Where the old type “divers helmet” nacelle suits the bike style, and is a typical  look from the 50ies

Non std. items:
Stainless: Rims, spokes, wheel spindles, drip tray carb., front mudguard stay, dynamo strap, nuts & bolt everywhere.

TLS front brake,

Non std. chrome plated parts: Rocker box, engine stays, dynamo “horns”, ski slop, steering friction plate holder and dynamo body.

Fuel taps changed from Edward valves to leak proof std. valve. (Adaptor changed after this picture).
