New tank.
« on: 29.04. 2016 09:01 »
I have an Indian imported new tank that I want to fit. Would I need too clean it out before use? If so, what would be a suggested way of doing this?
Thanks all.

Yes parafin would be fine, but suggest you mask of the threads and blank the filling hole and add some small nuts or screw and agitate the contents to ensure any debris is removed.

Mine was pretty straight forward, the brace under the tank from the original didn't fit the Indian tank, and the fuel taps are slightly mire towards the front of tank (if that makes sense) so a longer feed pipe to the banjo is needed. And I managed to strip the thred on the top bolt putting back on. Obbs.
