Out amongst the "V"s
« on: 08.08. 2015 16:05 »
Here is where I'm heading today: http://www.heritagehd.com/miscpage_007.asp

Can't argue with free barbecue and liquor tasting. The precision riding demonstration by the police riding instructor is always impressive. Then, there are always three or four grizzled bikers who appreciate the A10 and tell tales from their first British bike.

I'll take some pictures and post them if they are interesting.

Sounds like a good day Richard.
I like riding with a large group of HD's. Start at the back on the old BSA then weave and o/take through all the twisty roads then watch them all roar past on the highways. Then start again. I quite often hear them at stops saying "that bl@@dy little Beeza".
Cheers

That reminds me, Musky. If you know the old Pacific Highway from Cowan to Hawkesbury River, a few years ago my mate and I were at the top on our A10s when the speedy boys on their modern japanese bikes flew past us. It didn't take long to round them up in the twisty bits and we passed them.
At the bottom they went past like scalded cats and that's the last we saw of them.

Yes Trev, about 35 years ago I was one of them (speedy boys on their modern japanese bikes).
The bride and I did the Bomballa Show on our honeymoon. The little '51 A7 plunger with 180kg on her back gave the big boys come curry.
