I thought I had what was needed but The sliders I have do not have 2 mudguard mounts, only a rear one, I think they are for a 46-48 a7 (long stroke) or b31, part 65-5360 and 65-5362, am I right? Pics attached.

The XB31 only had one mudguard bracket as the stays all went to the tag on the back
For Bender and my super rocket (still not finished  *spider* )  my engineer knocked together some nice fresh sliders using the ends of some rusted sliders and hydraulic pipe.
A good rider periodically checks all nuts and bolts with a spanner to see that they are tight - Instruction Manual for BSA B series, p46, para 2.

Hi John - yes I have tried Yeomens, they have 2 sets but at a price of £175 a pair. A bit too rich for me at this stage.

John.

Hi KiwiPom - quite a collection you have there. I am sure a pair would fit if I took off the brake anchorage point. The trouble is the postage to England would be hefty wouldn't it? It cost me £12.65 just to return the bad pair I had from E Bay 100 miles in England. I am now beginning to realise there are so many different part nos for these things, I am afraid to buy and then get stuck with the wrong ones. Instead of just sending the bad ones straight back I should have seen if they fitted first, then included/excluded those part nos. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. There are another pair on EBay that look identical to what I want but the advert says "For full width hubs only". I am getting more confused every minute!

Regards

John.

Hi John, the pair for the full width hubs are being sold my Mike of Lyford Classic Service who sell parts for BSA's. Might be worth giving him or Pat (who tends to answer the phone) a ring and asking. He may have a correct set. Cheers, John

Hi everyone - thank you all for your help but I am at last fixed up. Bought off E bay the correct items together with the front mudguard stay that doubles as a stand, the lot for just £50.00. I am really pleased and can now restart work.

John.
