Hi from Cork
« on: 29.09. 2014 19:23 »
Hello everyone, been sneaking into this brilliant forum for a good while and since you seem to be more than a decent bunch i am better to introduce myself. i am 55,born in Switzerland and living near Cork for 32 years.
My first big bike was an A65 back in the late seventies, followed by quite a few Guzzis, Morinis a Matchless and a couple of home made contraptions with J.A.P engines.
It was two years ago that the urge for a Brit twin emerged again and I was ready to settle for a G12 matchless when, in his absolute wisdom, Chaterlea25 suggested i looked the A10 way.
A nice good one came up in the west of Ireland and the rest is history.
Looking forward to ask stupid questions, and being told they are, and /or to meet you for a pint whenever you cross the pond.

 *wave* Hya!

In that lovely picture of your machine it looks like the front brake needs attention; the drum lever is already more than 90 degrees at rest.

The first Swiss Irishman (or Irish Swiss, or does that make you a Swirish *conf*...) on board.
Judging by the picture you found yourself a great riding spot.
Welcome!
Keep you to that pint though... *beer*

Welcome Flashgreubon.
Think you have the luck of the Irish though - I once parked my bike on the side stand on a hill (like in the photo) it rolled forward and fell over.
No damage done other than a dink in the headlamp trim (no idea how it managed that) and my pride (surrounded by onlookers of course)
All the best - Bill
