Lovely!

I'd like to see a brochure for my 1955 model, with cow-pat headlamp cowl please.

I dont have one for 1955 Graybeard, the closest I have is from October of 1956 so the bike pictured is most likely a 1957 model.

Apart from the wheels the bikes would be almost identical.

Ah, sorry I should have made clear; my bike has a plunger rear end. The front looks like that brochure though.

Unfortunately I dont have anything that shows the plunger models from '53 onwards with that nacelle.

I have bikes with that particular nacelle and I have to say I dont think it was one of BSA's better designs. I had a '53 plunger A10 and I had the "ears" with a seperate headlight on it for the years I owned it, I put the original set up back on just before I sold it.

I'll add a couple of pics of the bike with the different set ups.

The rocker box is interesting in the illustration.
Note the bridge in the inlet side doesn't extend to the same level as the outer of the box.
I have one of these, I thought it must have been very early.
Another difference on the first A10 is on the timing cover. The early ones don't have a shroud for the breather cast in.

I agree; it's a bit ugly. Before I started to restore my machine I was thinking of getting the earlier set up but then decided that it was important to keep it original. I've now got used to the cowl/nacelle.
