Briz-we are practically neighbours--I hope you are a good neighbour who dosen't cause peace and quiet to interrupt  5 am test sessions into " will it rev to 14000 on open pipes"
Which pub might I find you in?

Me? make noise? disturb neighbors? *smile*
Dont get to any local pubs much; none are really local to us and most are uninspiring, as you probably know!
But not averse to a pint with good company; give us a bell 01366 500662 or PM here.

Another mod-I run a 3 spring clutch and Hayward belt drive and have never been happy with the clutch wobbling like a half set jelly on the petrol tank of a triumph trying to go around a corner. As it's run dry there is also a lubrication issue. For ages I've thought what is needed is a sealed bearing and earlier this year  accquired a sealed ball bearing with a circlip in the outer circumferance and did a bit of lathing. The [poor quality] pics show the gist of it;over simplified the bearing circlip is sandwiched between the back of the clutch outer drum and the shiny new bit bolted to the same drum. The adapter was turned to suit the bearing id leaving a step to stop it coming inwards.
Rear chaincase hole has to be enlarged but is a bonus as gear box sprocket removal is now easier. It could be milled or turned smaller but I want to make sure it works first. It has  so far.Selecting gears or neutrals is much easier and no more wobble.

Nice mod danma. The whole clutch wobble problem is from the very narrow bearing. The slightest bit of wear is multiplied in wobble.
I run a belt and diaphragm clutch dry in my cafe. There is a few different clutches used by members here.

I presume the diaphragm is Norton? I run a Bob Newby job on my other bike and can't praise it enough.

G'day danmar
That looks a more robust head steady between the inlet stubs. I'll be keen to see the mounting.
Cheers

A bit of progress- top end back on. The peep hole was useful as I could not find either of my pushrod combs.
New headsteady fitted just exhausts left to do.

I like the new rear rockerbox mounts. Would be easier than those pesky long nuts onto studs you can't see.
Cheers

Exhaust system finished, all stainless so no more painting over rust.
The intention was to replicate my old TT pipes but the first bends I had were too short and really poor quality so left overs from another project were used .

Been for a couple of short rides and it's running a bit off so a bit of investigating required.Sadly have not got too much time at the moment so might have to slum it on the other bike this summer.
