Wonder if Anyone can help ..should the longstroke A7 have braces across the two rocker box halves please ?
If so has Anyone a sketch , etc I could work from to make Myself a set ?
At the moment My "Star Twin" does not have these but reading the handbook they are mentioned ?

Here's a scan from the parts book Steve, part no 67-63. Just two bits of flat steel by the looks of it.

Steve,
The braces are approx. 2.5" long with radiused ends, 0.750" wide and measure 0.088" thick, but that is with chrome plating. I would make them from 2mm steel if available. Maybe 20mm x 2mm.

I will be using 2mm Stainless Steel most likely .

Peter ,
I would imagine the braces reduce flexing of the rocker covers ?
One of the more knowledgeable members may be able to enlighten Us ?
I only discovered their existence by chance after reading a parts list recently .
