Hi Muskrat
I have just seen your piccy of the timing disc in 'Going Electronic' and noticed the R clip instead of a split pin in the crank after the cush nut. Any advantage over a split pin

G'day Angus.
It can be reused a few times rather than just once like a split pin. I also now insert a shim/s behind the clip as insurance against the nut unscrewing (not that it ever has).
Cheers

I'd presume that the R pin has greater shear strength as well.
