Hi All
« on: 02.01. 2014 19:23 »
Are cousins allowed? I confess I don't currently own an A7 or A10 (although I did have an A10 many years ago) so I am not a brother, I do own 2 Bantams so BSA's aren't strangers in my garage. I have found many posts on this forum which have been of a great help with my other bike a '55 Ariel Huntmaster which basically has an A10 engine hence the cousin bit.
I tend to search for A10 info (and engine parts) as there's a lot more info on the net than for Ariels, hence this site has become a favorite as it keeps coming up trumps for info.
Anyway this is just to say hello and please keep up the good posts.

G'day TAB,  *welcome*.
That's cool mate, my '57 has the Ariel hubs. Do the Huntmasters have a hole/cover in the rockerbox to help with pushrod placement?
Cheers

Hi Muskrat
Fortunately the Ariel had a different R/C arrangement, still a bit fiddly but much easier than the BSA layout, no comb needed. Having had my engine apart a few times in the last 6 months (a looooooooooooong story!) I've got pretty good at it, practice makes perfect although in this case I'd rather NOT have had the practice!

I'd say the more the merrier. To much inbreed usually makes quality go down *smile*

When I was about 16 I had a Huntmaster with a sidecar chassis. I rode it on 'L' plates cos you could then.
