This is a wierd one!
BSA Super rocket with Triumph 4 spring clutch not a new installation
New plates, friction and metal, new springs, pushrods straight and cut with ball bearing in middle, basket and center deburred. Everything working as it should BUT
The clutch slips quite badly for first 10 miles or thereabouts, after that it is perfect!!
I fitted a new cable, there is free play at the gearbox adjuster when cold. I did the ball bearing mod on the advice of an old classic trials rider, as it allows the rod to centralize and not catch on the tube.
All I can think of is once a certain temperature is reached something is freed off but what?
It's livable with but a bit annoying, I suppose it stops over revving a cold engine though!
